Please make a note for your diaries of the upcoming Foundation courses being run for Hurling and Camogie.  The GAA require all coaches to obtain the Foundation course, either Hurling or Camogie.  This is compulsory before the Award 1 course can be taken.  In 2018 one coach on each team will be required to have the Award 1 certification.

The Rocks are in another semi final!  This time it is the U15s that are battling in the U15 Championship semi final.  This Sunday Avondale Parnells will take on Michael Dwyers.

Another weekend and yet another County Final to look forward to.  This time our attentions to turn to our ladies, our Rockettes!

In what was a topsy turvy year for they girls they have battled away and trained hard.  Their determination and commitment has been exceptional all year and that is why these girls deserve your support tomorrow in their quest to become county champions.

The excitement is mounting as our Rockettes take on Aughrim this Sunday, 8th October, at Aughrim Community Pitch.  Throw in at 4pm.  Come and cheer the ladies on #ArklowRocks

The club would like to send its deepest condolences to club members John, Mary and Patricia Furlong on the passing of their father Paddy.

Funeral mass at 2pm St Senans Church, Enniscorty on Wednesday 4th October.  This will be followed by burial in Garynisk Cemetery.

As the season come to an end for our U14 Camogie Team, AnnacurraRocks, we would like to thank all the girls and everyone involved for their hard work and dedication.

Thanks to Avondale for a fabulous presentation for the girls and Camogie Clubs.  A great match followed by tea and cake what more could you ask for ?

Well done to all.

Today at the Wicklow Centre of Excellence in Ballinakill, our unbeaten U11 team will be playing in the season final. All the team’s and coaches’ hard work will hopefully reap the highest reward. Should make for a very exciting game.

These girls are amazing. They started the beginning of the year without a full squad.  Some of these girls are playing Camogie for the first time.  They are so committed and give their all, no matter what, just like their coach!

A great performance at the final Blitz of 2017 from our superstars.  All the hard work, training and practicing definitely showing.

Even after two days of camp these girls turned up with spirit and determination that not even the torrential rain could dampen.

UNDER 8s:  Another blitz where this team are undefeated.  This team is getting stronger and bigger with every blitz.   Great to watch….well done Littlest Rockettes!

UNDER 10s:  The team is playing great together and it shows in the results as they were undefeated too in this Blitz.  Welcome back to Poppy Heald who has been on crutches for several weeks.  Keep it up Little Rockettes!

And finally…..a huge thank you to all the mums, dads, grandparents who stood in the rain with me to support and cheer our girls on.  You are fabulous too!

A well organised blitz by Ciaran and his team at EireÓg GAA on a glorious day. The colour coded pitches is an idea I will be stealing.

UNDER 8s:  This squad is getting stronger and all that training is paying off. Undefeated in this blitz the girls played well not only individually but as a team which is joy to see and coach….go Little Rockettes!

UNDER 10s:  These Rockettes played some tough matches and got good results even though some of the squad were absent.  Well done to all the girls but especially Aoibhe Merrigan who stepped up from the U8 to play for the U10.

Thank you to all the girls for playing their all.  Keep it up, Little Rockettes!  Also, a big thank you our mums and dads for travelling, coaching, helping and taking on tasks that I have not got enough hands to do.  You really are a fabulous group.  So it should not be so surprising that your girls are so awesome!

It is back and the countdown is on for the Arklow Rocks Fun 3 day Summer Camp. From Tuesday 25th to Thursday 27th July. All boys and girls welcome from ages 4 to 12.

Camp includes fun games, skill challenges (although no previous skill necessary!) and all run by qualified coaches.
