Can you help?

It is with great sadness, we as a club have to make this announcement.
The passing has occurred of our two newest Rockette and Rock Star, Cadhla and Tadhg Kavanagh.
Children of Lorraine and Chris Kavanagh, brother and sister to Saoirse, Sean and Fiadh, all part of our Rocks community! There are no words to describe the hurt amongst the club and it’s community at this time.
We extend our deepest sympathy to all the Kavanagh and Kelleher families at this time.
We ask you to show your support and prayers online and respect the privacy of the family at this very difficult time!
Fly high little angels!
We are coming back!
From 26 April 2021 juveniles can train in groups of 15.
Send in photos of those hurls at the ready
If your boys or girls have never tried, after a long time in lockdown, this would be a great time to let them have a go. All Covid precautions abided by and we have a huge pitch.
See you soon!

Inver Bathrooms – Now Designing County Champions
It is with great delight that we now have the backing of Inver Bathrooms here at Arklow Rock Parnells. Inver Bathrooms gave a commitment to supporting and sponsoring our juvenile section of the club before Covid struck.
The times that followed were very uncertain on the playing field and for businesses alike and upon the resumption of GAA activities Inver stuck to their commitment and we were delighted to welcome Tony Kinsella of Inver Bathrooms to Parnell Park where he presented the full kit to the under 15 players.
We at Arklow Rocks want to send our sincere thanks to Inver Bathrooms for their commitment and backing to us.
A Chairde,
A Chairde,
Arklow Rock Parnells GAA club hope that you are all keeping healthy and well at this time.
The club had a committee meeting recently and a number of points were discussed. We all miss our evenings in the pitch, especially with this fine weather, but until as such time as Croke Park and the Player insurance company tell us that we can go back to training, our pitch will remain idle.
When we do return to hurling and camogie in the field it quite possibly will be not as we have done in the past. At the moment we can only continue with our social distancing and as much hurling practice at home as you can.
If anyone in the club needs help or assistance at this time please do not hesitate to contact a committee member and we will do all that we can.
Stay safe,
Arklow Rock Parnells
Need help? We are here to answer “The Community Call”. It is an initiative that links local and national government with the community and voluntary sectors and the Rocks are part of it.
Our club volunteers will be informed by the group when a person or family needs help, such as shopping or medication delivered during these difficult days. We will then help as best as we can to deliver what is needed to the vulnerable.
Please call 1800 868 399 if you are in need of any assistance. Please email CovidSupport@wicklowcoco.ie.

Due to the current circumstances with COVID-19, the Arklow Rock’s clubhouse and pitches are closed until further notice.
Team managers, backroom personnel and players at all levels have not only a duty of care to each other but also to the wider community around them at this time.
It is expected therefore that County and Club teams across the country will adhere to both the letter and spirit of what has been asked of them at this challenging time.
